Young’s outstanding reputation in the community and creative marketing skills earned her recognition as Western Regional winner in the Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards, and she is regularly called upon to participate in industry forums, write plant articles for publications, judge competitions and be guest speaker.
Like many businesses, Greenery was hurt by the pandemic but Young says her company came through it fairly well — although some offices closed, their plants were well looked after. More companies are investing in plants in the office. Greenery’s sales and design consultants Angela Perigo and Zaele Parsons are busy introducing the huge variety of plants available and helping clients decide the best plants for the right spaces.
