As gas prices decrease, the Alberta government is partially reinstating a provincial gas tax. As of October 1, 2022, consumers will pay a 4.5 cent per litre tax on gasoline and diesel.

With all the electric vehicles hitting the roads, they need to get rid of the gas tax altogether, and just have a tax on the amount of kilometres driven so that electric vehicles pay their fair share as well!!
