Amid a flurry of new cellphone deals in recent weeks and months, Rogers is taking pains to reassure investors that Canada’s wireless market has not “lost its way.”

Tony Staffieri, CEO of Rogers, told analysts Wednesday that the promotions and new offers that have cropped up since the Toronto-based telecom closed its deal for Shaw in April are just “healthy” but not “heightened competition.”
