Jazz musician Abigail Kubeka says Masuka had a unique voice, soulful voice that would pierce your heart.Masuka died last Saturday at the age of 83 after complications related to hypertension.
She also suffered a mild stroke last year. Masuka was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and her family moved to SA when she was 12.She will be laid to rest later at Westpark Cemetery.at the University of Johannesburg’s Sowe to campus, Kubeka says: “I’ll miss her very much. I used to call her the voice of Africa. She had a unique voice, a voice that would pierce your heart, it was soulful.
