Investors are increasingly turning their attention to early-stage startups in Singapore, as seen in the increased proportion of Seed to Series B investments in 2023. A report from Enterprise Singapore and Dealstreet Asia showed that there were 464 early-stage deals in 2023, accounting for 94.1% of Singapore’s deal volume in 2023. The total value of early-stage deals was US$3.04b.

A report from Enterprise Singapore and Dealstreet Asia showed that there were 464 early-stage deals in 2023, accounting for 94.1% of Singapore’s deal volume in 2023. The total value of early-stage deals was US$3.04b.

“Despite a 37% decline in total deal value, the median value – seen as a proxy for valuations – for early-stage deals witnessed minimal impact from the downturn,” the report stated. Overall, Singapore saw 522 deals with a value of US$6.10b in 2023, a decline from 2022’s 651 deals and US$11.04b value
