Wendy's has launched a $3 breakfast deal hoping to capture more of a consumer market that is shrinking as people spend less money dining out.

Wendy's began offering a $3 breakfast deal on Monday, May 20, in an attempt to capture more customers at a time when the number of people dining out is shrinking.DUBLIN, Ohio – Wendy’s restaurant chain has launched a $3 breakfast combination in a bid to capture sales as consumers continue to spend less on dining out.

In addition, customers will now be able to order a Sausage Breakfast Burrito at participating U.S. locations. The meal was inspired by the fandom of Wendy’s Bacon Breakfast Burrito launched earlier this year, The additions are the latest in Wendy’s moves to enhance its breakfast menu. Over the last year, Wendy’s added a lineup of smooth Frosty Cream Cold Brew flavors, a sweet Cinnabon Pull-Apart and a hearty Breakfast Burrito.

In an earnings call in April, Chief Executive Officer Chris Kempczinski said McDonald’s must be “laser-focused on affordability.”
