CAPE TOWN - In one of Parliament’s shortest plenary sittings ever of only 15 minutes, the seventh administration started off on a swift note on Tuesday afternoon by deferring half of the business it had put on its agenda.
On Tuesday, the House was expected to endorse the names of three House chairpersons - two from the ANC, and one from the Inkatha Freedom Party . Democratic Alliance leader John Steenhuisen told EWN after the sitting that his party wanted one of the three posts.
