I've walked past Franco's thousands of times but never thought to stop by

As long as I've worked in the city centre I've packed my lunch full of meal deals and whatever could be stolen from my kitchen. The occasional splurge for a Subway is a nice payday treat but I've lacked a happy medium between tasty and non-processed food that won't break the bank. On my way through Mann Island , mid-conversation with a friend who was debating where we should grab a coffee, we came eye-to-eye with Franco's Ice Cream.

You're greeted by a lovely staff member who makes you feel like you have a long, intertwined history. You're not speaking to a barista or sandwich maker, you're speaking to someone who feels like a friend. I've spent the majority of my time nattering away in the window without considering my food and drink are getting cold. I didn't care. Carol, who simultaneously manages to say so much but nothing at all, is delightful every time I've stopped by.
