And now is the right time.” Mike Samsel said the boat’s vacuum system was able to suck the oil off the surface of the water, a much more efficient system than what people were doing at the time — trying to soak up the oil with things like straw.
Mike Samsel said the family has been working for a few years to wind down the business, which is why Samsel Supply has sold most of the buildings it owns.
