Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has refuted concerns raised by the Business Council of Australia (BCA) regarding Australia's economic performance under his government. While BCA CEO Bran Black claimed Australia was 'taking steps backwards', Mr. Albanese asserted that the economy is experiencing continued growth and business investment.

Picture: Sky News Australia The BCA CEO pointed to five key priorities including the cost-of-living, housing crisis, net zero, aged care and Australia’s skilled workforce shortages. Mr Albanese did not address the BCA’s concerns about industrial relations policies or its supposed failures to prepare for an ageing population.

“This shouldn’t be dismissed as talking Australia down… It’s a belief right across our membership that we can and must do better for our future generations.”
