Several fatalities have been reported following a terror attack at a Turkish defence company. The incident took place on the premises of the aerospace and defence firm TUSAS, with Turkey's Interior Minister confirming there were a number of dead or injured.
Turkish media outlets circulated various photos showing at least two attackers, including one woman, both armed with rifles. HaberTurk TV suggested that the explosion might have been triggered by a suicide bomber and reported an "ongoing" hostage situation. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has yet to provide more details about the attack at Turkish Aerospace Industries on the fringes of Ankara.
Emergency responders, including security personnel, ambulances, and firefighters, were swiftly dispatched to the location, as reported by NTV television. According to HaberTurk, employees of the company were promptly evacuated to a secure area.
