Magudumana will appeal a decision by the Free State High Court that dismissed her application to have her arrest in Tanzania declared unlawful.

She also wants the court to declare her arrest in Tanzania unlawful and invalid, which will lead to the South African criminal courts not having jurisdiction to prosecute her. Her lawyer Machini Motloung, “We had a strong belief that the application is meritorious and the fact that it was dismissed didn’t deter us. We have been confident from day one that what transpired in Tanzania had serious elements of unlawfulness and to come to this stage would ensure that the appellant receives justice.”
