The S & P 500 edged higher Monday, extending Friday's postelection all-time highs. The tech-heavy Nasdaq was basically flat. Club chip names Advanced Micro Devices , Broadcom , and Nvidia were lower — so were the rest of our Super Six except for Alphabet .

Home Depot's third-quarter results this week are expected to be soft, with same-store sales down year over year.
