THE Western Mindanao Command has initiated changes in the leadership of its Headquarters and Headquarters Company as its current commander is retiring from the military service, the military said Saturday, December 28, 2024.The Westmincom said installed as the new HHC commander in a change of command ceremony on Friday, December 27, is Major Franklyn Dacquel, who replaced Lieutenant Colonel Leoncio Magpantay.
Magpantay, in his speech during the ceremony, has thanked the HHC family for making his years in the unit meaningful, citing the experiences that shaped his personal and professional facets, according to the Westmincom. “I am beyond grateful for the unforgettable experiences I have had in Westmincom. All the ebbs and flows of my military career mold me to becoming the person that was needed by the service, and for that I am eternally grateful,” the Westmincom quoted Magpantay as saying.
