Religious organisations, parents and education stakeholders are demanding a broader consultation before permanent changes are made to the Life Orientation curriculum.
Programme Director – Lindiwe Mothemane- says educators will be trained to relay age appropriate information to pupils.“To make sure teachers use an age appropriate content – we focus on the teachers comfort levels, and we then focus on how the teacher should deliver the information to students. During our training we give teachers practice before they go back to the class room. The practice is done in the presence of the Department and various stakeholders.
