Houston AstrosCole, not surprisingly, is taking his time this off-season under super-agent Scott Boras and is waiting out a mega offer from one of the heavy hitters in MLB.
His post-season performance for the ages over five starts set him apart as the top name on the board. He was a strikeout machine during the 2019 regular season, leading MLB with 326. He still appears to have a good chance of passing David Price’s $217 million contract and setting a new record for pitchers.
