WASHINGTON - The head of the largest U.S. energy industry group on Tuesday warned that Americans risk choosing the “wrong path” in the 2020 presidential election if they vote for a candidate seeking to fight climate change by banning drilling.

“We know many candidates now are talking about this industry and we want to make sure the American people hear our story,” said API President and CEO Mike Sommers. They argue that transitioning to a zero-emission economy would create millions of new jobs in clean energy industries like solar and wind that would compensate for jobs lost in drilling and mining.

But the future of U.S. emissions has been cast into doubt as the Trump administration seeks to boost domestic fossil fuels development by rolling back Obama-era climate protections and other environmental regulations.

I believe them still. Still.

So they want Iran's oil as well as a gateway to Russia. Military bases in captured Iran. Far fetched I suppose!

Gee.....let me think on this quandary a bit......should I worry about my 401K dropping a bit or the world burning up like Australia? Decisions, decisions.

Fearmongering.

So would this be the same oil industry that didn't want to switch their refineries to making unleaded gasoline because even though they were poisoning us even more than they are now, it cut into their profits?

How about Trump's drilling ban offshore from Mar-a-lago. Isn't the oil industry going to address that?

'You'll pay for this', said the dinosaur

So basically, they scared about losing profits.
