The US economy added 273,000 jobs in February, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics said Friday. The unemployment rate fell to a historically low 3.5%.

The US economy added 273,000 jobs in February, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics said Friday. This was far more than economists had predicted and the biggest monthly increase since May 2018. Leading the gains were new jobs in health care and social assistance, food services and government, where 7,000 people were hired for the April Census.America's recovering manufacturing sector showed more signs of life, posting 15,000 new jobs.

The outbreak is weighing on business and investor sentiment, as well as the economic outlook. The strong report shows that the US labor market was in a good place before the outbreak reached American shores. The jobs report plus a better-than-expected services PMI from the Institute for Supply Management earlier in the week painted a very positive picture for the US economy, said Michael Hanson, SVP of research at Fisher Investments.

Trump waved his magic wand! Too bad Obama didn’t know how to bring jobs back.

I can believe that

I can’t even remember when that many people were working ?

America look, CNN reporting honest news.

If only network could have that kind of success.

Thank you realDonaldTrump

Much is made of the number of jobs added, but little is said about where those jobs are, or what the wages for them is. Adding jobs that still require the worker to two of them in order to provide for the family is not progress.

TrumpPence2020

You cant believe any number published by the Trump Gov’t

A major asterisk...there was a very big one-time bump in census takers. Also a spike in health care jobs...probably related to covid-19. This will be the peak....its all down hill from now!

👎🏼

CNN'S running important news near midnight as infomercial.

Cute how they give zero details of rate of pay, primary or secondary jobs, part/full time etc.

Note this report cut off 2/12, before any affects of the virus on the USA economy

Uh oh... There is that Pesky Scoreboard again. Very inconvenient for those calling for a 'Revolution' especially from an 80 Yr old Millionaire who drives a 175K car and has been in Government since Moby Dick was a FN minow.

I’d like to know “what jobs” were created. Also he long those positions last. Anyone know where I can find this info?

US economy smashes estimates, adds 273,000 jobs in February amid coronavirus outbreak - Business InsiderDon't be misled by the strong number. The full impact of the coronavirus wasn't fully reflected in the February report. How many lost their job? How many newly created jobs have retained those jobs? What are the jobs? What is the pay of these jobs? Where are the jobs located? Demographics of the jobs? How many of these jobs offer employee benefits? I need more analytical data when viewing.
