Vietnam’s prime minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, has asked the country’s agriculture ministry to draft a directive to stop illegal trading and consumption of wildlife over fears it spreads disease.
'billion dollar industry under assault'? ... How about 'illegal industry, that has allowed to go unchecked, that is a risk to human and wildlife health and welfare finally taken seriously'..... No the truth is not clickbaity enough I guess.
Economic sanctions should be placed on Vietnam, Thailand, China, Laos and Cambodia if these industries and ‘farms’ aren’t closed immediately. A BBC report found first hand evidence of governments supporting the growth of a market for wine made from fermenting tiger bones. Awful.
