President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Spokesperson Khusela Diko says there is no truth in rumours going around that government will announce a total lockdown on Saturday night due to the coronavirus outbreak.

President Cyril Ramaphosa last week Sunday announced a raft of measures to try and contain the spread of the COVID-19 in South Africa.

The last time President Ramaphosa addressed the nation was last week Sunday when he announced a raft of measures to try and contain the spread of the COVID-19 in South Africa, including a national state of disaster.Addressing the nation, he said this will help in combating the spread of the virus. Cabinet has also decided to revoke visas of foreign nationals from high-risk countries and that South Africa will not be issuing visas to foreigners from those countries.

The speed in which GP, KZN and WC numbers are increasing, I wouldn't be surprised and i think it's becoming morer and more inevitable at least to these three provinces.

But they should shut down look how quick ot has spread..m

Announcing a Total Lock-down at this Stage would be EXTREMELY Premature!! It would be the cause of Mass Hysteria in the Country, which would be difficult to Control!! Now is the time to Pray!! Read Psalm 91!

This is a big disaster. Imagine a lock down. Indeed no one wants it to go that way. But as time goes on, CoronaVirusSA will likely force a lock down. And ppl don't have money. The issue of huge margin between the RICH and the POOR will come into the fray and chaos erupts.

Gauteng pple has to stop Goin to other cities this s simple PresidencyZA CyrilRamaphosa jus shut down the country or betta still gauteng or the provinces tht are affected fo 2weeks fella to stop this virus from spreading becoz pple are Goin to die lyk flies becoz of u

The problem with the lockdown is that as a country we don't have money to feed the nation or give to people . They looted and now dont know what to do...with South African a violent society...what will happen will definitely be a horror movie situation

South Africans let's stop spreading fake news. Total lockdown is de worse n severe form of isolation. Meaning no one is allowed on the streets

A country whose health system has collapsed a while ago is waiting for the CoronavirusInSA curve to get steep before it can make a decision. We do not have that luxury. We need to err on the side if caution.
