Irish fruit company Keelings slammed after flying in strawberry pickers from Bulgaria during coronavirus outbreak

An Irish fruit company has come under fire after it chartered a flight from Bulgaria carrying dozens of strawberry pickers during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Keelings released a statement this evening confirming that the company had flown in the seasonal staff and that they would "not be asked to work without a full 14 days restricted movement". "Across our entire business we have also worked tirelessly to implement the HSE and Government guidelines to ensure we are protecting the health of all of our people.

I'm an Irish landscaper out of work due to virus and I could of done with a few weeks work while this was all happening. They can work away while I'm locked up, don't understand it
