KUALA LUMPUR: Viral pictures of cows being kept around the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market were taken three years ago, says city mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan.

He said the images were taken in 2017 and that Kuala Lumpur City Hall had removed the animals following complaints then.

However, a video showing officers entering a unit at the Sri Murni Flats, where occupants were keeping live goats is believed to be taken recently. "With the data collected from foreigners during Covid-19, we will take holistic measures to resolve issues related to foreigners living around the market," Nor Hisham added.
