The Southern California weather is cooperating. Instead of last weekend’s temperatures in the 90s driving people to seek cooler climates, today is expected to top out just short of 80 degrees.

California isn’t the only state facing confrontations. Armed protesters have appeared in Michigan to confront politicians, and other states have had protests and business openings without authorization. Adding fuel to the anger over reopening is the slow or botched roll-out of unemployment compensation and federal assistance to businesses, leaving many without income and straining the resources of food banks and the patience of landlords.

At least one poll shows that the majority of Americans still favor restrictions on reopenings, with a survey by Northeastern, Harvard and Rutgers giving Newsom a vote of confidence on his handling of the state’s response. In Texas, malls, stores, restaurants and movie theaters opened Friday at 25 percent of their previously permitted capacity. Medical and dental offices were also allowed to serve patients.

Modification: EVERY state has been half open this entire time. If grocery stores, gas stations, Walmart, Target, coffee shops, and liquor stores were deemed safe & essential to remain open so can other businesses. Done w/people being 'selective' about what's safe. ReopenAmerica
