Business groups push to open international borders for economic boost | JennieDuke

Ai Group chief executive Innes Willox, representing more than 60,000 businesses, is also pushing for international travel bans to be replaced by recommendations to allow companies to head overseas to look for business opportunities, negotiate deals and build relationships.

"Safely loosening outbound business travel restrictions would be a good start to getting business going again."At the very least, the Government should signal a firm date on which such outbound travel restrictions will be reviewed and lifted." Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Simon Birmingham declined to comment, however said on the weekend the "cautious approach" would remain important into the future as the restrictions helped Australia manage the crisis.

"But we can't and won't put just random timelines in terms of advice as to when borders might reopen."

JennieDuke YES, OPEN NOW

JennieDuke There seems to be a co-ordinated push on this today, including a fabulous whinge from Anne Summers of all people

JennieDuke Lets get all the beer swilling bogans back to Bali and Phuket and then close the border again. That should improve the business prospects of all the domestic bars, clubs and restaurants.

JennieDuke Only one way tickets 🎫

JennieDuke So why don’t you call them what they are. A union. And treat them with the same derision currently reserved for salaried employees.

JennieDuke Business groups care about money and nothing else.....surprise surprise. Fk ‘em.

JennieDuke State borders first, then public venues etc, international borders should the last thing to open.

JennieDuke Let people leave but anyone coming in must quarantine till there’s a Vaxx. Being a business person doesn’t make you special than anyone else ,use your computer & zoom or Skype. No one needs to see anyone for business,no one is that important, unless your a highly skilled surgeon

JennieDuke It is about time 'business groups' go together, it's August, why have they taken so long? Australians must urgently stand up to the treasonous Govt, state & federal that have sold out our sovereignty, they no longer answer to us, but to the UN ===== NO VACCINES ========

JennieDuke Well if universities can bring in foreign students, why not?

JennieDuke Death wish ?

JennieDuke The border to stay closed until 2026.

JennieDuke Grubs

JennieDuke Restrict incoming by all means. Allow more flexible outgoing. Inhuman controls on people who have to leave.

JennieDuke Sacrifice yourself for corporate profits

JennieDuke Is Alan Joyce a ‘business group’? Qantas

JennieDuke

JennieDuke All about the $$$$

JennieDuke They can get stuffed. I will rely on health advice before self interested business groups.

JennieDuke Business groups want to bend us over for all manner of their own interests
