Is that ‘ol Nevis’ advice is it I find it hilarious tbh. Take San Francisco for example- no new buildings from next year to built with natural gas for heating/cooking with the exception of restaurants. australiaisabackwater

No way. The government should invest in renewable energy, not keep throwing money at has-been industries.

We have enough to last over 100 years.... yet soon the minion govt will announce they will import US gas

NO financial support at all. All jobs and profits will go overseas. Don't give a cent. Its tax payers and our hard earned money.

Wrong move folks.

So all the profits can go to overseas businesses and we are left with the environmental disaster. Fuck yeah, let’s get this shit happening.

This is what the gas industry wants to do to the country - Queensland. auspol nocsg

LyndaFrench19 If the investment is so sound and such an engine of growth then why subsidise the industry. If they need $$ then surely they can borrow the money

The gas industry sold out Australia: they pre sold so much export natural gas we don't have enough for us. That forces us to import and australians to pay high international charges. Disgusting. Let them fail. Ban those companies from new gas discoveries. I hope they fold.

That’d be right - it’s not like they get huge amounts of taxpayer dollars now to line their greedy pockets!!! FFS.

Well gas is a start......mining, fraking, and more off shore oil should get things back within a decade......its there use it.

The gas industry supports socialism

First lockdown now poison our water, food and us, what could possibly go wrong. The US tried it and it shows us it’s a fact

There are no words for the utter stupidity of using gas unless your wilfully ignoring science and reality, your over invested, your morally bankrupt, your utterly gullible, your payed off or a combination there of. Shame! We will not forget.

The gas industry wants more government support? Of course they do

No!
