Tourism, business groups urge no quarantine for vaccinated Singaporeans

Business leaders say that the Malaysian and Singaporean governments need to sit down and discuss mechanisms for allowing vaccinated people from both countries to cross the border more freely. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 29, 2021.

TOURISM and business groups in Malaysia are asking the government to allow Covid-19 vaccinated Singaporeans to enter the country without the need for compulsory quarantine,“This is important for both countries as we are highly dependent on each other and starting such discussions early would be helpful in the speedy recovery of the economy after the pandemic,” Malaysia Tourist Guides Council president Jimmy Leong said.
