Digital Covid Travel Pass will be ready 'within weeks', International Air Transport Association says

IATA said the Travel Pass is designed in a "modular" way, so that it can work with other digital solutions that are being trialled around the world.Singapore Airlines was the first airline to start trials of the travel pass in December.

The closest paper equivalent to the app is the Yellow Card, a World Health Organization document which confirms passengers have been vaccinated. "This issue has come to the forefront, because there is the risk of fraud with paper certificates," said Mr Goel. Covid has been disastrous for the airline industry, according to IATA’s figures, with demand plummeting nearly 70% in 2020 compared to 2019.

People supporting this are melts! 99.97% survival rate hasn’t changed! Hysteria due to main stream media and government lies. Step back and engage your brain for a minute!

Looks like the police state is taking over.

All those rushing to book foreign holidays; you are aware, are you not, that if a new variant suddenly pops up in the country where you are on holiday you may have to quarantine when you get home, at a cost of £1,750 a head?

No thanks then. coercion is what it is

Yeah they haven't been working towards this for the last year at all. Wake up people!

The great reset looks to want to ban all planes....I wonder is this a tactic to force that?

I imagine the counterfeiters already in acirive planning.....

Good news.

Don't see a problem with this and all the anti-vaxers can stay at home and bask in their conspiracy theories and smugness while the rest get on with living.

This can’t come soon enough 🙏🏼 Meanwhile Irish aviation workers can only watch in despair as the gov cancels Summer, introduce more restrictions despite having the harshest lockdown in Europe & offer no plan for recovery. MAYDAY MichealMartinTD LeoVaradkar IATA RecovAIRie

I’m missing the point I did not realise the vaccine was a 100% cure! Why aren’t people getting tested for antibodies for covid they will a natural immunity, we understand no one knows how long for but neither do they with the vaccine! It’s discrimination and looking like a cashcow

This is condition for traveling 1. Vaccine 2. Masks 3. Vaccine pasport 4. Test and don’t tell me I’m conspiracy theorist. Its showing how much people craving for government control. Your freedom will be belonged to government. So good luck to live in your imagination freedom

It's all just a conspiracy. Relax 🤣

Just like the vaccine ,”We might never get a vaccine” before the presidential election. The day after the American elections “we have a vaccine” and “it will be ready in weeks”.

Jab does not cure covid or prevent it so what the point

So I holiday in the UK. Is there a vaccine for wasp stings?

I will be taking the vaccination up until the point we are told It is mandatory then they can forget it.

Bring it on. You can stick a chip inside my head. I don't mind 🙃

Simply marvelous......

Good news and common sense. If you don’t want to take part you won’t have to, you’ll just need to stay in the UK. Hopefully will bring something similar in here to relax lockdown faster.

Formerly known as the vaccination records...?

The fools who have refused to have a vaccination and have booked a holiday abroad will now be lining up to have one as I cannot see any country allowing anyone in without a Covid travel pass confirming they have had a vaccination and a negative Covid test before travel!

As if the whole experience of international travel isn't already demeaning enough!

So much for all being just in the heads of conspiracist flat earthers.
