The government has launched an online one-stop-shop business registration center to make it easier and convenient for an enterprise to start its operations.

Commissioner Cesar R. Dulay of the Bureau of Internal Revenue said the central business portal or CBP can now be accessed by companies transacting business with the BIR, Social Security System , PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG.

The BIR chief said the automated unified site handles all related business transactions such as registration, securing permits and licenses. Ergo, a one-stop-shop. “An applicant no longer needs to go from one government office to another to file and submit registration forms,” Dulay said. Among the BIR-related features of CBP are online issuance of Taxpayer Identification Number , identification of applicable taxes, payment of annual registration fee, documentary stamp tax, and generation of electronic certificate of registration.
