Mary Costelloe, who runs Costelloe + Costelloe, a boutique on nearby Chatham Street, with her sister Margaret, said that “post three o’clock [on Saturday] there was damn-all business done”. Pedestrianisation was introduced in South William Street, along with several other streets in Dublin city centre, earlier this month. Make the pubs responsible for litter near them

Use the photos to track the assholes down and fine them

Jumping on top of taxis, smashing glasses and peeing everywhere. Not all of them, most of grand but every single week there are a couple of egg heads who try their hardest to ruin it for everyone.

It's doubtful if King Billy would've approved of such a Bacchanalian fest on the street named after him in the Irish capital. He'd hardly have been able to get thru on his white charger at 16.90 hrs (ie 5.30pm).

Take away pints should not be allowed. Pubs should be closed full stop. Their owners have been screwing the public for years, they don't give a shit about public order or public ordure.

It's amazing that the government forget that a large chunk of the price of a pint goes back to them in VAT. I am sure if everyone stopped drinking and smoking, they would be encouraging us to get out and do it as they need the tax revenue

Yet no problem taking the money from it.

its really the battle of the zoomers vs the boomers in Ireland lately. I know who I trust for the future.

Don’t worry. Everybody in these crowds will be dead in 2 weeks. Oh wait. There’ll be absolutely ZERO consequences. We could reopen every single thing in Ireland and cases would not budge. Absolutely guaranteed.

Maybe they should speak to DubCityCouncil about closing off public spaces nearby.

Well I want see the same people crying on national tv in a few weeks when people decide to have their summer holidays outside the country. I would be the first one to go away, because it is better than stay in Ireland and be kick out of outdoor spot like an old dog.

so the residents! but someone needs to wonder here who sell the food and the beverage and the tons of not disposable plastic to that large crowds: the customers or the residents? Everybody is responsible here! We all have responsabilities! The ones who don't are irresponsible!

Even the business owners are brainwashed

Pubs have been selling take away pints for months. Hypocrisy at the highest level from the Government

Lol. And how many retail workers have died since this whole thing began? They cross paths with hundreds of people every day (including last year with no masks) and there simply haven’t been consequences.

FFS Maybe we should all stay in so as they feel safe

So we’ll close everything again and I’m sure they’ll be delighted yeah? Business is bad for… business apparently

Who is supplying the alcohol LVA very silent on this one?

Yeah, no shit.
