Wells Fargo has been fined $250 million after regulators said the lender had failed to fix problems first identified in a 2018 order, in which the bank was found to have made improper charges to home lending customers

The new penalty comes five years after Wells Fargo was tainted by scandal for creating perhaps millions of fake customer bank accounts.

pdacosta Shoulda been more. WF mortgage arm has been a problem since the early-90s. It's never gonna shape up bc of slaps on the wrist. BRING DOWN THE HAMMER.

Executives should be held personally liable & jailed. This is total BS when executives get away with no consequences. The bankers buy their way out & the settlements may be tax deductible including millions in attorney costs. The consumer pays & gets screwed twice! SenWarren
