Pharmacist Lim Lip Jinn, who stocked up 1,000 units of the kits, said he wanted to be ahead of the competition by reducing the price down to RM19.50 per set.

“When the government first announced in July that the recommended selling price for the kits were RM39.90, I stocked up with about a 30% profit margin and anticipated huge demand.

“I was prepared to bear losses because to me, keeping up a reputation and providing medical services are more important. A pharmacist arranging Covid-19 antigen rapid self-test kits on a shelf that are being sold at RM19.50 at a pharmacy in Butterworth.

I am sure your cost is much lower than Rm27. Otherwise the Govt would not LIMIT the SP at $19.90 So please stop your altruistic BS, when obviously you tried to profit sinfully from a national health crisis by hoarding 1000 units. Its called GREED.
