Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Thembi Siweya, has called on the public to be transparent when providing information to census field workers. Census 2022 will be held from February 3-28. Census2022

It is the country’s first digital census where at least 165 000 field-workers will be deployed to count everyone within the borders.

Speaking during a media briefing, Siweya said: “How are we going to assist South Africans that Stats SA collects data that is credible? For us, we have trained our field workers with the gadgets that we have given them – how to utilize them and capture the information. So, South Africans need to ensure that they become transparent. So that the data is a true reflection of what is happening in our country.
