'We're gonna be all right': Standard Bank predicts investment boom on back of Ramaphosa's reforms

Standard Bank SA CEO Lungisa Fuzile says there is no doubt that President Ramaphosa's government is executing on his reform agenda., is bullish about the continent's ability to rise above the Russia-Ukraine war.

Its economics division has not revised Africa's outlook or South Africa's because it does not expect the impact to be as dramatic on the African continent as in Europe unless the conflict drags on for much longer. In South Africa's case, Standard Bank expects platinum and coal exporters to counteract the effects of the negative impact of oil imports as prices skyrocket.Subscribe to News24 for just R75 per month to read all our investigative and in-depth journalism. Fin24 Potentially potential, what the hell kind of statement is that, betters most statements by politicians that say nothing. Oxygen thieves the lot of them

Fin24 Only one little problem. The big banks are part of the SA economic problem.

Fin24 But this is lungisa

Fin24 Maybe Russian investment

Fin24 Last night was doing research and I realised our government need to really talk and action land issue now, there are many planned mega project in this country in the next decade. SA is going to be the smartest destination in the world we better tag the landless along else...

Fin24 There is a bee buzzing in his head

Fin24 I am so glad I am not banking with Standard Bank StandardBankZA

Fin24 You cant even get the right picture of the man

Fin24 I haven't read the article but this is not Sim this is the guy who was in treasury or Finance ministry.

Fin24 StandardBankZA is playing politics now 2wards de MYANC conference! Sies

Fin24 Hahahaha right!!!! Investors love a country where electricity is not guaranteed. Where theft and corruption are the order of the day. Wake up and smell the coffee!!!!

Fin24 What planet is this guy living on ?

Fin24 That's a picture of Fuzile Lungisa, they work for the same organisation but Surely they don't lookalike!

Fin24 That is not Sim’s picture thou 🤔

Fin24 All blacks look the same...

Fin24 Put on the other CEO the white man that's the true CEO & this is Fuzile Lungile the one rewarded by monopoly capital after his treasury run

Fin24 Dream on.

Fin24 But you have picture of Lungisa Fuzile

Fin24 On which sector? I bet to differ. Dollar dominated companies in minerals and mining has being doing good on the basis of currency exchange. Rand dominated companies have been hammered all the way inspiring less investment confidence.government policies have not changed at all.

Fin24 Don’t hold your breath Simmo!

Fin24 Incorrect

Chris80109155 Fin24 That picture is not Sim Tshabalala.

Fin24 Wrong black guy!

Fin24 Mcim

Fin24 Which African country has progressed from structural adjustment programs? Name me 1. Ethiopia won't even allow foreign banks to function in that country, yet their airline is No. 1. Go to Rwanda - house niggers are helping a vampire capitalist few destroy what's left of SA.

Fin24 Structural reforms that continues to harm the majority black-classified people - for the benefit of classist capitalists - and/or Big Business. Shameful.

Fin24 This is not Sim.

Fin24 Dream on. Who want to invest in a country with electricity problems?

Fin24 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Fin24 What structural reform the man is talking about here, I do get his pont, But realistically nothing is happening on the ground, Yes, Our country has a great potential for a booming economy, but that will need a strong charismatic leadership with a broader understanding of economy,

Fin24 We will continually pray, work hard & play our part to ensure that SA will not be the next Zim. We gonna be alright. God bless South Africa. 🙏🏽

Fin24 On the other hand MoF Godongwane is worried that some big investors might pull out of SA e.g. Ford in City of Tshwane, because of energy supply issues.

Fin24 Crazy country on autopilot...

Fin24 We have to give credit when it's due. In the last 12 months, the Government moved very quickly on Structural reform 1. Liberalisation of the energy market 2 Spectrum 3. Ports and rails private sector involvement These are big wins, but I still don't trust ANC, they must go

Fin24 Dream on.

Fin24 I have my serious doubts. China maybe.

Fin24 sim vang sy baas

Fin24 Structural reform? Where?

Fin24 What a load of rubbish 😁😁😁

Fin24 Without electrical power? Interesting.

Fin24 Wrong picture though. That's not Sim
