Royal AM have come back from two goals down to beat a determined National First Division side University of Pretoria 3-2 in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup.

The KwaZulu-Natal based side who trailed by two goals to nil at half-time, staged a dramatic comeback to book the last remaining spot in the semi-finals.

The late fightback was led by Bafana Bafana forward Victor Letsoalo who scored two second half goals. Tuks took the lead in the 19th minute through Wonderboy Makhubu. Makhubu found his second goal of the match a few minutes later to make it 2-nil for the NFD side. Letsoalo pulled one back for the homeside early in the second half from a penalty spot.

Letsoalo scored the equaliser eleven minutes from time. Substitute Mfundo Thikazi scored the winner for Royal AM deep in injury time to book his side a place in the semi-finals.
