KUALA LUMPUR: The government will ensure that matters involving trade industry players and investors are facilitated and the civil service delivery system is improved, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Prime Minister said this is in line with the government’s commitment to boost performance and further stimulate domestic direct investment.

“For example, during the first quarter of 2022, foreign direct investment recorded a net inflow of RM24.4bil from RM18.4bil in the fourth quarter of last year. The ceremony was held in conjunction with the official birthday celebration of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

“The national economy recorded a 3.1% growth in 2021 compared with a 5.6% contraction in the preceding year. This year, the government is committed to drive the economy towards a growth of between 5.3% and 6.3% as projected,” he said.
