The Odu’a Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture has enjoined the governors in South-West Nigeria to live up to expectations by increasing security surveillance and protecting the citizenry and their businesses.The group gave the advice in a statement it issued on Saturday, which was signed by its President, Kayode Adeyemi.
The business community lamented the upsurge in insecurity in the region, describing the development as a serious threat to businesses in the region.Condemning the attack on St Francis Catholic Church Owa-Iuwa, Owo in Ondo state last Sunday which claimed at least 40 lives, and left several persons injured, the group's president said insecurity has led to economic instability.
