The Home Affairs Minister, Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi will on Thursday launch the BorderManagement Authority (BMA) programme at the Beit-Bridge border post between South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Motsoaledi will unveil the first group of border guards during a ceremony near Musina in Limpopo. The guards underwent physical and fitness assessments before their deployment. The Border Management Authority Act of 2020 initiative aims to facilitate legal cross-border movement and curb criminality around the border. The BMA also wants to promote optimal cross-border trade. It will become fully established in April 2023.

In 2020, members of the Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts , Portfolio Committee on Public Works and Home Affairs, conducted an inspection in loco at the controversial R37 million Beit Bridge border post fence, outside Musina, in Limpopo. The parliamentarians were led and guided by members of the Special Investigative Unit and the Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Committee.

The 40km stretch of the fence is damaged and full of holes where illegal foreigners pass when they cross. It is also of a poor standard; not meant border fencing.

This seems to be the only ANC minister that seems to be working and taking his role seriously. He does not on talk ... he implements and follows through.

That's a good move, plus to look at employing from those who want to clean south africa.

We will pass. Tell that xenophobic small boy Minister Aaron that we will bribe your money loving guards! We will even task them to carry our stuff till the highway!

I am happy those rogue Soldiers and police office will be rich to the core. Well done the environment is fertile for them. Some politicians are actual zimboz if u dig deep

That's a start. Now when are they launching a wide-ranging enquiry into every permanent citizen ship given out by Home Affairs since 1996.

Hopefully they'll have the latest drone tech too, anyone found to be corrupt in that dep should be treated as treasonous, min 25yrs in jail!

I urge HomeAffairsSA minister to deport the ZANUPF_Official simbachitando, he's a nuisance in South Africa!
