Michael Noonan and Paschal Donohue sold our national gas company to a British multinational. We now see the disastrous consequences

FFG asleep at the wheel as usual, giving the big data centres the go-ahead without any requirement on these multi-billion Euro companies to fund their own electricity generation

Or they could make them reduce their prices 🤔

Which would be passed on to the consumer is some other way no doubt.

Disgrace

They should but the spineless cowards wont.

Yes and they will put their prices up more super idea 👍🏻

The energy companies ought to increase prices further to cover any tax

As a shareholder I am totally against this

Absolutely not

The Irish Government should stand up against these Companies for ripping of Irish people for once Instead of bending over for them .We as a people are already being taxed out of existence where goods produced in this Country are actually cheaper 2 buy abroad.

Constant ravings of 'No more fossil fuels' means an unsure market. So Energy companies quit investing in their own infrastructure & are milking the market while (they think) they can. Change the rhetoric,'Lets live with fossil fuels in most environmentally sustainable way'

Bit too late now that theses companies have the money in their account they won't give it back that easily that's 4 sure.the terrible journal showing how cheap they are in calling 4 a poll.they should be made to donate to a charity loads a charity's out there

Why should the government get more money!!? Give it back to us the customers.

Another tax won't benefit my elderly mother with her gas bill. Or me with my 'family size' electricity bill. Or my employer with his utility bills. Something else is needed here, to bring prices down again. Otherwise the only beneficiary is the Gov, as usual..

We should all be given a €500 credit on account.

No, instead of giving more tax money to the gov't to squander introduce price caps on energy
