The government’s decision to increase the country’s offshore wind target from five gigawatts to seven gigawatts for 2030 has been welcomed by a senior industry executive.

Eamon Ryan, the Minister for the Environment, last week said the additional two gigawatts has been allotted for the

supply of green hydrogen. Val Cummins, director at Simply Blue Group, said that it was a positive signal to the market.
