How dare she speak English.
Can't give a speech in English welcoming 3 U.K based companies? Let us know when Simard, McKenna and Joly will stage a protest for this atrocity. Two official language in this country, except in Quebec.
Why should she? English is one of the official languages.
If the audience was mostly Quebecers then she should speak French as that is their official language. But if speaking to those out of the province who may not speak French than what is the issue. You speak the language the audience understands.

I guess she doesn't want the $$ that these new companies bring to Montreal. She should let them know their English $$$ is not wanted or welcomed.
