where Baxter is CEO, has made it clear it’s up to employees when and where they get their work done, as long as it gets done.

“We hire adults. We treat them like adults, and we expect them to act like adults. I don’t need to ensure that you are clocking in at this hour or clocking out at this hour,” Baxter said in an interview with. “As long as you are getting the work done in those previously five days in four days, that's what matters.”

Having Fridays off has given its employees a chance to balance their personal lives, take breaks and recuperate from the workweek, he said. Will Qwick make its four-day workweek permanent? Baxter said things are looking good, but they want to keep watching the customer metrics and company numbers over the long term to ensure that it’s trending in the right direction — and so far it is.
