The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has empowered more than 30 young people with business skills and management in Lagos.

Malam Nuhu Fikpo, the Director General of the Directorate, said the training was aimed at empowering the intending entrepreneurs with basic business skills on how to successfully start a business, nurture it and ensure that it has sustainable growth and contribute to the development of the national economy.

Fikpo, who was represented by the Lagos State coordinator of the directorate, Mrs. Serena Olayebi Edward, said the training was part of the Federal Government efforts, through the NDE, to curb mass unemployment and reduce the crave for white collar jobs that are not adequate for the teeming number of graduates churned out by higher institutions in the country every year.

He stated that NDE is poised ready to encourage, train and nurture interested persons irrespective of age, gender, and educational qualification in vocational skills.
