Following gains in Stanbic IBTC and 17 stocks, the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) reversed previous session losses to close

in an upbeat, yesterday, as market capitalisation increased by N8 billion.

On market outlook, GTI Securities Limited said: “We expect negative sentiments to persist, as pre-election risks amplify.” Wapic Insurance went up by 5.88 per cent to close at 36 kobo, while Dangote Sugar Refinery appreciated by 3.92 per cent to close at N15.90 kobo. Mutual Benefits Assurance and R.T. Briscoe Nigeria lost 9.68 per cent each to close at 28 kobo each, while Regency Alliance Insurance shed 7.69 per cent to close at 24 kobo.
