President Cyril Ramaphosa has asked the public to weigh in on SA's ambitious just energy transition investment plan.
“As was the case with the investment plan, the implementation plan will be led by the South African government and our social partners. It will be developed in accordance with our self-determined climate policy goals as outlined in our NDC, so as to ensure a structured, phased and well-sequenced transition process,” said Ramaphosa.
“The effects of which we are already experiencing in SA in that we continue to face all of the calamities that are given rise by climate change. In the east of our country we have continuous flooding that destroys public infrastructure, homes and businesses.”“This plan outlines the scale of need and investments that will be required to achieve our decarbonisation commitments.
He said more investment will be needed for the transmission and distribution networks in areas such as the Northern Cape. “The plan makes it clear that the scale of funding that is required to achieve our country’s ambition is significantly higher than the funding that has been offered through the just energy transition partnership.”
CyrilRamaphosa also.we can maximize coal efficiency and cleaner burning by adding copper salts also vladimir Putin his recipe
CyrilRamaphosa we expect them to deliver 95% of the coil and 15% of the diamonds / gold to run the coal to JHB coal burnt boilers
Then as the gas boiler gas fired steam turbines do their work in KwaZulu Natal and eastern cape we can focus on tapping coal resources inviting an private sector mine like Anglo American to tap the coal.mine in the protected lands CyrilRamaphosa
CyrilRamaphosa and will take almost 5-10years to finish both gas turbines' off the eastern cape natur gas Block with flame burn gas boilers
CyrilRamaphosa we need competition we need to keep Eskom but have an government owned energy provider developed who build turbines and give power go JHB and eastern cape KwaZulu Natal exclusively this will lower eskoms grid load
Doesn't matter what we say, you don't listen, my fellow 'president'
But the deal has already been done, what's the point of public comment?

Ramaphosa calls for public comments on SA’s just energy transition investment planSouth Africa’s commitment to address the global challenge of climate change can never be doubted, Ramaphosa said. We reject it. A loan is already approved by World Bank. So whatever you say is just a joke. The transition is clouded and driven by foreign interests, not driven by our own interests and needs. We as a nation were suppose to set the agenda and transition in our own way. As if he'll listen, sies
