It's great to see such success in difficult times

Burnley’s Financial Affairs, founded in 1972 and located on the town’s Standish Street, is now seeking to hit a target of £10 million in revenue in the next ten years. The company specialised in personal and business insurance and personal and corporate financial planning.

Chief executive Laurence O’Connor said: “We’re really proud to have hit half a century in business but we don’t want to stand still and have actually come up with a plan to hit £10 million in revenue in the next ten years to grow the company and set the foundations for the next 50. Our leadership team are all under 40 and we wanted to set a big goal, not really to get to the destination but to enjoy the journey.

“We are heavily investing in both people and technology so that we can spend more time servicing clients rather than using technology to create less touch points and bigger margins. We have a rolling apprenticeship scheme and are just launching a graduate programme, all of which is making us feel like a 50-year start up.
