Which is the case for Swedish beauty brand FOREO and its microcurrent skincare device Bear. As the first FDA-cleared, medical microcurrent device, it's made a name for itself as theLaunching in 2020 when skincare sales rocketed as many of us searched for alternatives to our favourite treatments and tweakments amid salon closures, the Bear was designed as an alternative to aesthetic surgery and injectables.

It's a non-invasive, pain-free treatment that, according to the brand, delivers professional-level results in just one week. Could plump, smooth, glowing skin be just days away? I put the Bear to the test to find out...It's a total workout for the skin thanks to a combination of advanced microcurrent and T-Sonic pulsations that exercise the 69 muscles in the face and neck.

After connecting the Bear to the free FOREO app, you can access pre-set routines tailored to your skin goals, or you can use the device on manual mode. The device has five intensity levels, but I suggest starting with level one and working your way up the more you use it. And, thanks to the Anti-Shock System, you needn't worry about the current being too strong for your skin.
