Zoox Inc. on Monday said that it successfully tested a robotaxi that has no steering wheel or brake pedal on a public road in Foster City.

Zoox said this is the first time that passengers were transported on a public road in a vehicle designed without human controls. The robotaxi used for the employee shuttle service can transport up to four people at a time, traveling up to 35 mph.
