The Charlottetown Jazz Ensemble will feature the Groove Company at the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre in Summerside on Saturday, February 18.CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Charlottetown Jazz Ensemble is bringing the smooth sounds of big-band jazz to the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre in Summerside on Feb. 18.

The ensemble features 18 of the Island’s best jazz musicians as they play tunes from popular TV and movie themes, like Get Smart, Pink Panther and I Love Lucy.The band also features Island musicians with a wide range of backgrounds, from gifted students to seasoned professionals. One of the highlights of the evening will be a guest appearance by the popular horn band Groove Company.

The six-piece group specializes in original jazz/rock arrangements, often featuring tunes, such as The Kinks' Come Dancing and The Drifters' Save The Last Dance.
