OPINION | Those criticising former Eskom CEO André de Ruyter for delivering 'political' commentary are wilfully blind to the fact that he faced virtually constant, toxic political interference, writes Solitoliquido. | News24_Business

I almost fell out of my chair while listening to a popular radio talk-show host confidently and shamelessly siding with the ANC’s version of apparatchiks and nomenklatura to the effect that immediate past Eskom CEO, André de Ruyter, should not have ventured into commenting about politics.

Politics, the said radio talk-show host insisted, had nothing to do with the performance of Eskom and De Ruyter’s tenure at the utility. De Ruyter, the otherwise affable radio man told his listeners, was simply playing victim and using the race card to try to shift attention away from his failures as CEO."He must stay away from politics and tell us, instead, why load shedding has worsened under his watch."Get 14 days free to read all our investigative and in-depth journalism.

Solitoliquido _Business The truth hurts.

Solitoliquido _Business Hopefully, now they have crossed the line by supporting Russia, the West will take a more active part in dealing with these ANC crooks! ( The USA & West have substantial investments in SA and they won't to lose them. )

Solitoliquido _Business Nonsense

Solitoliquido _Business It's not surprising for a person who leaves in America yet says nothing about evidence brought forward 🤣

Solitoliquido _Business Amen. They have been caught out. Now the cat is out the bag ... what now...who is exposed....who is trying the hardest to be uncovered and exposed. Only the fools are screaming now, they, yes they are the ones..

Solitoliquido _Business Why ddnt he open a case, He knows them and he is a witness, why hiding them?

Solitoliquido _Business It's tough being dependent on a white owned media house in order to put food on the table as you constantly have to sing for your supper by writing opinion pieces that align with the bosses.

Solitoliquido _Business Useless piece and how did it get to news24?

Solitoliquido _Business Exactly. Well written.

Solitoliquido _Business Yet some ACTUALLY believe De Ruyter is willing to lie about the corruption and the ANC, (we are experiencing it!) despite it being a risk to him and his family!!! Yeah seems legit......not. Wake up fools and see the wood for the trees.

Solitoliquido _Business Rubbish. Eskom was a politically charged environment for over a decade & it's politics that got him the job in the first place. He has a terrible CEO track record & was brought in to peddle renewables over coal. Bad move. Everyone already knew Eskom was a mafia piggy bank😎

Solitoliquido _Business If U listened to De Ruyter , Mbalula and most recently Former Free state premier U would realize where our cANCer is rooted as a Country

Solitoliquido _Business We must stop having this Opinion pieces of people who are only twerking to be spokespersons for the eating class.

Solitoliquido _Business House negroes...
