Angry parents of Western Australian junior nippers are pushing for their surf life saving club to cut ties and remove uniform logos of a major gas company sponsor.

Over 400 parents have signed a “Free the Nippers” letter addressed to the surf life saving organisation that coordinates volunteers patrolling the beaches across Western Australia.

Sustain Surf chair and Nippers parent James Anderson told the Guardian that using junior life saving clubs to advertise the gas company was unethical. “We wouldn’t let a cigarette company stick its logo on our kids, and we shouldn’t let Woodside get away with using Nippers to advertise its fossil fuel business,” he said.

Parents have been brainwashed by the left

Get woke go broke 🤷‍♂️

All two angry parents.

No sausage sizzles for you guys then. No fundraising bbqs

are those parents offering to make up the shortfall?

These parents should be gluing their kids to the road, blocking EV drivers from getting to the vegan cafe, not using a surf life saving club to occupy shark habitat.

I hope they rode bicycles to nippers and cook dinner over hot coals.

Learned nothing from netball, have we 🤦‍♂️

Fair enough, the folks will no doubt be asked to chip in extra each year to keep the club going

Goodbye sponsors money. How soon they forgot about Ginas call.

Let the parents pick up the slack then! The only losers here are the kids!!

This is what happens to bored rich housewives. Obviously their husbands aren’t satisfying their needs, so instead of being a nag to their husband they fark over nippers.

Can you believe it, so called grown ups teaching their kids to be Wokes. Take away their cars and everything that needed gas to be manufactured

Oh ffs

As they refuel their cars to drive home to their cozy warm homes heated by gas & cook dinner on their gas stovetops. Seriously folks…

First world problem.

Sleazy loves the idea of children and rainbows. So there's an idea for sponsorship.

Shouldn't be sponsored them anyway, the parents should be footing the bill....

Except when the club has no sponsors, they will then ask the state government i.e. taxpayer to fork out the money. We already saw that with netball in Victoria.

What's a million dollars they drive their ICE vehicle to the nippers club. Not to mention, a good portion of their electricity uses gas to generate it. Hypocrisy at its best.

Sooks Saving Club lol

Shhhh. Don't tell the advertisers, but I seldomly make a purchasing decision based on a child's sport uniform.

This infatuation with the wokeness of climate change is getting ridiculous, Australia produces 1% of the world’s greenhouse gases but the renewable brigade don’t know or care about facts.

Maybe they can have government welfare payments like the net ballers got from vic government

Then let them lose their nippers.

That’s the way, start them young. By the time they get to their teens, they will be living in bark huts, no electricity and eating grubs. What a future they have to look forward to!

Idiots...

tell em to open their wallets and purses!

Perhaps the parents can move their kids sponsored by a vegan friendly recycling company, if they can find one sponsoring sport…

Makes sense. If you have any care at all for the beauty of the beach you sure as hell shouldn't have any good things to say about a major polluter.

What is a nipper?

That is absolutely ridiculous and wrong how long has this company been sponsors of this club. Disgusting
